Text Box: CHILDREN AT PLAY - Our neighborhood is full of energetic and playful children. When driving, please keep an eye out for children at all times and please maintain a safe speed.
We are fortunate to live in very low crime community. That said, the Knoxville Police Department and the Knox Co. Sherriff’s Office still encourage all residents to always be alert and to adopt these safe practices:
- Always lock your house doors, even when you are home
- Always look out the window first before answering the door
- Avoid leaving boxes from recent electronic purchases (TVs, etc) on the street
- Close your garage doors when unattended
- Close your blinds and drapes when going out
- Do not let sales people in your home
- Keep car doors locked and your valuables out of sight
- Leave a light on even when not at home
- Meet your neighbors and exchange phone numbers
- Never leave bicycles, toys, or yard care equipment out overnight
- Report any suspicious people, vehicles, or activity to the Knox County Sheriff`s Dept.
- Photograph valuables, jewelry and record serial numbers of all electronics
- Teach your children how to call 911 and review fire escape plans often
